nice
My suspension came with no alignment marks to tell me how to position the upper part correctly . Can you explain how to put it correctly ? There are 3 possibilities so i cannot just guess it
I hope this video makes you a millionaire many times over. Thank you so much.
I may be contacting you next week. I have a motor home on a Freightliner diesel pusher chassis, and the torque rod that goes between the differential and the frame to resist rolling of the differential is metal to metal. Freightliner cannot source the part and has basically thrown it back into my lap. They have even went so far as to tell me that even if I am able to find one they will not install it for liability reasons. Gotta love big corporations and their abandonment of their products.
Ciao sono interessato a questo articolo per il mio camper su Ford transit gemellato del 2009 anche per assale posteriore ( gialli) dove si possono trovare in Italia? Oppure con chi potrei passare per aquisto?
We checked with SuperSprings and they currently do not have anything available for a 2009 Ford Transit. Best Regards.
How is the installation?
Thanks a lot Ryan!! That was beautifully explained... Much needed clarity
Wondering if same kit can be installed on 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD LT Flex fuel 6.0 L
Flex fuel does not affect the suspension kit. Depending if it is a 2wd the kit number is SMX-MC32WD and if it is a 4wd then the kit number is SMX-MC5.
Adding a Carli 5.5 inch lift but still need to carry a snow plow and do not want the front to drop. I am taking it that Timbren are the better choice?
use my truck to off road which would you use ? sumo two piece ?
Great video! No fat to trim, just good info.
Ok, 8 stage adjustment. Is 1 soft or hard??
1 is the softest setting and 8 would be the stiffest setting
Did you use the regular hell wig or the big wig?
Hands down the best video i've seen on installing the torsion keys, i was confused about doing this part by myself but now that i understand how it works i'm not afraid to try it! thanks again
which is the most confortable over bad roads please?
If I select b2 for example while calibrating, does the B side on both cams need to face forward towards the engine?
Doing my Z endorsement test for air brakes. Your video is extremely helpful! Thank you so much!
Excellent short video, good camera angles. I just tried to install the Timbers on my 2014 Silverado half ton, 2 wheel drive, but.... A few months ago I installed a set 3 inch LOWERING shackles on the rear springs to reduce the rear body hight closer to level. Now there us no room for the Timbrens unless I raise the rear of truck back up again. I didn't like the rear body so high because it was harder to get access to stuff in the bed. Trucks in the 70's and 80's sat lower to the ground and were much more "ergonomically" comfortable in every way.
Send to Brazil ?
We do not ship lift kits to Brazil. Best Regards.
Used truck I bought I think has these and compressor was going out so they disconnected it. Is that dangerous?
Firestone air bags are designed to run with a minimum of 5-10 psi depending on the kit. Running them without air will cause damage to the air bags. If you are concerned about something you are disconnecting being dangerous we recommending having a repair facility take a look at it first.
You said that we could go back and adjust the bolt that goes into locking mechanism holding the torsion bar key any time we wanted to, but why would we want to? and also, it looks like the bolt is hanging down past the cross member.....is there any chance of it hitting a rock or something underneath?? great video btw
You can adjust the bolt at any time as a fine tuning tool to make sure your truck is level and at the height you want. As for the bolt hanging past the cross member you normally will run that almost flush to the cross member, also there is a possibility that at any point stock or otherwise that you have a chance of hitting one of those bolts with a rock.
Maybe it just looked like it was sticking out past the cross member more than it was, but it seemed it would be closer to flush ideally. Excellent video and response. Subscribed! And buying the part and tool as soon as the tax money comes 💪@@Truckspring
@@TruckspringAlso, when I searched the part online it didn't say it came with the differential spacer which is what sold me on the kit. Does the kit (I have a 2016 2500HD) come with the diff spacer?
Yes, it does come with a differential spacer. @@abdulfatah8283
What is the possible cause why airbrakes failed?..if the brakes has emergency brakes or service brakes that automatically lock up the wheels? I know that almost airbrake the trucks use is maxi brakes, which have service brake and spring brakes.
This is one of the best explanations of the monotube shock that Ive seen. really simple and effective.
Apart from the fact that it's totally misleading!
Great video and thank you
what kind of watch is that looks good
Cost of front shocks for LA 460
cost price for Lexus ls 460 shocks
Thank you
My reason for watching is to learn if pintle can be used with a ball couple (if I'm using correct name of part). Mainly as I like extra assurance the trailer doesn't unhook. Since this information was not discussed, and next hitch was a combo, I assume I need a ball shape. Also, slop/play was not discussed. This is important detail and better made parts have smaller gaps. When I don't hear this discussed, I think cheaper part made to lower standards.
Slop/play WAS discussed at 3:16 with a mechanical solution that attenuates or eliminate the problem, otherwise slop and play are just one of accepted features (or bugs, take your pick) of the pintle hook/lunette draw bar system. HOWEVER, the size and ID of the lunette are variable and you can pick the combination (pintle and lunette) that reduces play and slop but like I said, slop and play are usually a a feature and not a bug as the whole system is designed for heavy duty use/off road use as it allows an extreme amount of articulation on the X and Y axis. The combination pintle hook mentioned at 2:46 I think addresses your first question and the answer is yes. I would recommend the type with the removable or bolt-in ball hitch. The presenter made a mistake at 3:09; if the ball is damaged, just replace it because it is replaceable (duh), but if the whole thing is damaged somehow, then replacement is necessary as it is with any product.
Very clear and well described-- thank you!
I have the Timbren 8600lbs capacity ones installed on my F250. I’m really happy with them. I can haul my camper with virtually zero sway and hauling a full cord of green firewood bucked up is a breeze. I’m really happy with the purchase. I have no experience with sumo but they look rad too.
How does it feel when emoty?
@RMRMatt09 since you leave 1/2 -1 1/2 inch space when installing you will have your regular suspension. So however your vehicle drives empty before installing will be the same.
Never, ever . seen a RR with that clean an underside
why have you shown removal of the rear wheel, yet where removing the compressor cover, the wheel is clearly still on the car. this is a hash if a video. - the airline disconnect is shown from the blue connector , from a HITACHI compressor not AMK which is totally different.
What is the secret to getting the air line out if the strut. It looks simple , but its not easy. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Thanks you explain it so well!
Those first bolts were for the steering box
The same steps are followed to install and change the front
❤
How do you make correct measurements when springs are fattened out from eye to eye on double eye springs, plus will going 1 ex. leaf hurt ?
Great video, thank you.
Why on earth does the power knob even rotate? I mean we are told to turn it to max, then never touch it again? Confusing!
Exactly what I was thinking! Turn it all the way up, then later, use it to adjust the braking? Huh?
Oh good, I thought it was just me. Turn it to max and leave it alone, then they tell you to adjust it????
Guess you didn't watch the vid all the way through. Knob on right is to keep the Trailers brakes set to max braking power "WITHOUT LOCKING UP" as this could cause the trailer to "Fish tail" and take you and truck off the road especially on snow/ ice
@@Mr69barracuda. Thanks for reply. So if I understand. I put knob on right to full then drive trailer. I manually grab the slider and slide to full break. If brakes lock, then dial the power knob back? My only problem is that I travel mostly very steep highway and I would need to perhaps dial in more than needed on flat. It’s just hard to judge.
The case that came with my recently purchased Viair 87P is too tight, the cords bulge out and the zipper is hard to close.
Do you have a video for 2022 f250 4 wheel drive with under bed fithwheel hitch
👍🏻
these directions suck
😬every time he touches the cut open chamber
Genius! Or as the british say; Brilliant!. FYI on trucks such as the S-10 the torsion bars remove easier when the torsion bar crossmember is unbolted due to the binding angle from the crossmember to the control arms. Learned this the hard way til it got easier. Thanks suspension MAXX for these torsion bar cams.
Never use a screwdriver where a prybar should be used
why did this need to be done?
Thanks for verifying that what the manufacturer places on the vehicles are garbage quality... I am buying the B6. Cheers.
What if it doesn't work how do you identify problems
